These are photos of the first camping trips done in my folding bolt-together trailer. All the panels bolt together (or apart) and since the trailer
base is foldable as well, it can be stored in our 2-car garage, with 2 cars and a honda shadow at the same time!

The roof and floor parts weigh about 45lbs each, and all the other panels are 30lbs or less. Loaded up with the new
sleeping area addition and all the supplies needed for 4 nights camping in Canyonlands National Park, the all-up weight of the trailer is 950lbs.

First test was at Valley of Fire State Park, where it was unanimously decided that a 4'x8' living area was 'too small'. So a wall was deleted and a sleeping area tacked on.

For the sleeping area, I used a different construction technique. I used a blue styrofoam core with 5mm luaun facings and some trimmed 2x2s at the edges. The
panels are a bit heavier than the others, but they are a lot stronger, so I only need a couple of support points to hold our weight without everything crashing down.

I've added a sleeping area to the trailer... click here to see the addition

three sides are up. the un-insulated square at the rear is for the a/c.
there is a cutout for a side window in the middle of the far wall.

bolt the corners to keep things stable

raise the fourth wall

lower the roof so it rests on the tops of the walls

attach the top half of the door

ready for action

indoors, the sink hasn't been dropped in the counter yet

Breakdown, first lift the roof off the walls

start dropping the walls

keep dropping

lower the end walls

lower the roof

hook up to the tow vehicle

ready to roll

meanwhile, back at home, the roof is removed and in the background.
the top 4 walls are against the wall behind the trailer, along with some
soon-to-be-installed insulation

the upper wall sections

the roof stored with the trailer behind it.
to the left is the door sections, and the
seat/bed base, along with some more unused insualation,
and the usual collection of garage garbage.
